El pasado fin de semana, el periódico El Mundo publicó un artículo sobre el libro que ya conocemos, Los reyes de Grial, de Margarita Torres y José Miguel Ortega (ver un mensaje anterior), texto sobre el Grial de León. Os he adjuntado el artículo completo. En la tercera página veréis junto a una foto de los autores, la noticia de que el libro ha sido traducido al inglés con el título de Kings of the Grail. Habrá dos ediciones, una para el RU, por Michael O’Mara, y otra para USA, por Penguin.
Last weekend, the Spanish newspaper El Mundo published an article on a book we already know a lot about, Los reyes del Grial, by Margarita Torres and José Miguel Ortega (see a previous message). As you probably remember it is a texto on the León Grail. I have attached the full article. In its third page, next to a photo of the authors, you will be able to learn that it has been translated into English with the title: Kings of the Grail. There will be two editions, one for the UK, by Michael O’Mara, and one for the USA, by Penguin.

Hoy tenemos un nuevo gran libro, editado por Kevin Harty: The Holy Grail on Film. Essays on the Cinematic Quest (Jefferson, NC: MacFarland, 2015). Muchas enhorabuenas, Kevin, por este libro tan ameno y sabio. Y también enhorabuena a Joan Grimbert, nuestra compañera de Clytiar y autora del capítulo tercero: «Lancelot du lac: Robert Bresson’s Arthurian Realism». Os he adjuntado la cubierta, el índice y la página ii, es decir, una bonita reproducción del Grial de Valencia.
También he de deciros que hasta el momento os habéis apuntado, provisionalmente por supuesto, a la segunda excursión del Grial: Susana Gil, Beatriz Montes, Mariàngela Cerdà (y una amiga), Paul Sire, José Ramón Trujillo, y yo mismo. I also must tell you that, so far, six of us have signed, of course provisionally, for the second Grail excursion: Susana Gil, Beatriz Montes, Mariàngela Cerdà (and a friend), Paul Sire, José Ramón Trujillo, and myself. I will write you all in order to start searching for a date that may suit all of us. It is only a couple of days.

He recibido ya este libro tan curioso que reúne estudios sobre la materia de Bretanya y los Países Catalanes, y san Vicente Ferrer. Os he adjuntado portadas e índice.
Por aquí en Soria todavía hace frío, pero se empieza a adivinar la primavera. Por ello ha llegado el momento de comenzar a organizar nuestra segunda excursión del Grial. Os adjunto de nuevo la información. De momento, me habéis expresado vuestro interés: Susana Gil, Paul Sire y José Ramón Trujillo. Si alguien más puede, por favor decídmelo para empezar a buscar una fecha que nos venga bien a todos, que no será fácil. Recordad que en nuestra página podéis encontrar una selección de las fotos que tomamos en la primera excursión del Grial.
Os ánimo a que visitéis nuestra página, la sección de enlaces. Ya hay unos cuantos, pero son pocos. Si tenéis propuestas, no dejéis de comunicármelas.

Here in Soria, it is still quite chilly, but Spring is already knocking at the door. So, the time has arrived to begin organizing our second Grail excursion. I have attached the information again. So far, three of you have reported me your interest in doing it: Susana Gil, Paul Sire and José Ramón Trujillo. If anybody else can, please, tell me as soon as possible to begin finding a date that may suit everybody’s wishes, which is not going to be easy. Ha salido un número especial de la revista Lingüística y Literatura, de la Universidad de Antioquia, Colombia, dirigida por nuestro colega de Clytiar Mario Botero, dedicado a la literatura caballeresca y artúrica. Enhorabuena, Mario. Al final de este mensaje tenéis el sumario y los enlaces.

Algunas fotos de La Alhambra, por la noche. Y del campus nevado, cosa muy poco corriente. Lo pasamos todos muy bien y echamos de menos al resto.

Anexei dois documentos. O primeiro contém uma coleção de fotos tiradas em Granada, durante o congresso. Você pode ver uma foto de cada membro da Clytiar que participaram do evento. Algumas fotos do Alhambra na noite. E o campus de neve, algo muito incomum. Tinha tudo bem e perder o resto.
Além disso, uma cópia de um artigo publicado pelo The Economist sobre Wagner, Tristão e Isolda.

Hola a todos:
Mañana comienza en Granada el congreso «Reescribir la materia artúrica. Homenaje a Harvey L. Sharrer». Os adjunto el programa. De Clytiar iremos: Susana Gil, José Ramón Trujillo, Itzel López, Barbara Miller y yo mismo. Por supuesto, el homenajeado, Prof. Harvey L. Sharrer. Os contaremos qué tal nos ha ido.
En nuestra página (www.clytiar.org) están ya colgados y archivados todos los antiguos mensajes de Clytiarnews / Novedades de Clytiar. (Presentación -> Novedades de Clytiar / Clytiarnews). También ya hay bastantes direcciones en la sección de enlaces. La siguiente tarea es actualizar los currículos. Os iré contactando para esto en cuanto sea posible.
Os he adjuntado también la portada de un número especial de la revista Clio (nº 21 / www.cliorevista.com). Es un monográfico todo él dedicado a los griales de León y Valencia. Ha quedado muy bien.
La salido también el volumen 2 de JIAS (Journal of the International Arthurian Society). Ved adjunto.

The Granada Conference «Reescribir la materia artúrica. Homenaje a Harvey L. Sharrer» will start tomorrow. I have attached the programme. Clytiar members who will be there: Susana Gil, José Ramón Trujillo, Itzel López, Barbara Miller, and myself. Of course, our honoured Prof. Harvey L. Sharrer. We will tell about it as soon as possible.
You can now find in our page (www.clytiar.org) all previous Clytiarnews / Novedades de Clytiar messages, published and stored there. (Presentación -> Novedades de Clytiar / Clytiarnews). There is also a good number of links in the enlaces section. Our next objective will be to update our CVs. I will contact you when possible, in order to begin doing it.
I have also attached the cover of a special issue of the magazine Clio (no. 21 / www.cliorevista.com). It is a monograph totally devoted to the León and Valencia Grails. It is really good.
It has also been published the volume 2 of JIAS (Journal of the International Society). See attachment.
