Hola a todos:
Espero que estéis bien y hayáis tenido un buen verano. Yo estuve en Sudáfrica en agosto y luego, desde que he venido, no ha habido más que líos en el trabajo. Las clases empiezan el lunes 23, por lo que espero que las cosas se calmen pronto.
Tengo muchas cosas que me habéis enviado o han sucedido. Poco a poco lo iré reenviando y espero ponerme pronto al día. Os ruego un poco de paciencia.
Sin embargo, la primera noticia es una muy triste. Ha fallecido a los 99 años de edad Don Martín de Riquer, maestro medievalista e notable investigador artúrico. Os he adjuntado información publicada por los periódicos ABC de Madrid, y La Vanguardia de Barcelona. Una larga y fructífera vida. Lo echaremos de menos, aunque nos ha quedado su gran obra.

Lo pasamos muy bien en la excursión, y sí, encontramos el Grial, en San Juan de la Peña. Hoy es mi último día en Soria, por lo que no podré volver a escribiros hasta septiembre. Por lo tanto, buen agosto.
Os he adjuntado alguna foto, pero mandaré más o las colgaremos en la página (mejor), así como el itinerario definitivo de la excursión, que tuvo algún cambio.

Hoy mismo me ha llegado el último número de Arthuriana (23/2), que recoge comunicaciones del último congreso de Bristol. Pues bien, en este número podemos encontrar dos artículos de dos miembros de Clytiar: Rosana Lendo y yo mismo. Una buena noticia.

Hoy tengo una gran noticia. Nuestro colega Eduardo Segura ha publicado una excelente traducción del poema hasta hace poco inédito de J.R.R. Tolkie, «The Fall of Arthur».

Hola a todos:
Os envío dos documentos adjuntos con capítulos para nuestro libro.
1) De nuevo el capítulo catalán de Alexandre de Riquer, ya que Alain Verjat ha enviado una nueva versión de su traducción al francés muy mejorada y toda en verso.
2) Un nuevo capítulo sorpresa sobre el escritor y pensador gallego Vicente Risco. Incluye una introducción, una selección bibliográfica de sus obras de temática artírica y céltica, y la publicación por primera vez de dos manuscritos suyos sobre el Santo Grial y un fragmento de otra obra sobre una orden del Grial que el defendía que solo se ha publicado una vez y de manera imperfecta. Este será nuestra capítulo en gallego.
Con esto nos quedan:
– El prólogo de Kevin Harty (casi a punto)
– Revisión del texto traducido de Roger Simpson (en él estoy ahora).
– Introducción.
– Capítulo de Juan Zarandona
Hay que darse prisa pues el libro tiene que estar para el congreso de Bucarest.

2) A new surprise chapter on the Galician writer and thinker Vicente Risco. It includes an introduction, a biblioghaphy of his Arthurian and Celtic works, and the publication for the first time of some manuscripts of his on the Holy Grail. There is also a fragment of the his rule of an order of the Saint Grail, a text that has only been published once and very poorly. This will be our Galician language chapter.
So, this is what’s missing:
– Kevin Harty’s prologue (almost ready).

Os mando dos documentos relacionados con nuestra excursion del Santo Grial de julio. La primera es un artículo sobre la influencia de las sagas nórdicas en las esculturas de la iglesia de Santa María de Sangüesa. Nos lo ha facilitado Mariano González. Gracias.
Y una presentación de power point que resume muy bien las leyendas y los hechos ciertos de la historia del Santo Grial español. En ella aparecen casi todos los lugares de Aragón que reclaman haber albergado el Grial en algún momento. Algunos están incluidos en el itinerario de la excursión.
